About The Campaign
 The
City of Austin and
Austin Energy are leading a national campaign to demonstrate
to automobile
manufacturers that a market for flexible-fuel Plug-in Hybrid
vehicles (PHEVs) exists today.
Environmental
and Energy Study Institute (EESI) is a founding Plug-in Partner
and integral member of the National Plug-in Partner Campaign to
help build a market for gas-optional plug-in hybrids.
The National Campaign will demonstrate the viability of
this market by:

Garnering support
in the form of online petitions and endorsements by cities
across the country

Procuring
“soft” fleet orders

Developing rebates
and incentives
